American Empasse: Our Statement of Objectives
The largest and most sophisticated empire in all of human history is on the decline. Splinters in American hegemony are being revealed across the international system, from the Mediterranean and the Middle East to West Africa and Latin America. The financial system that the empire leads has completely transformed humanity. It has left no rock unturned, no corner of the world untouched. But it’s flailing.
Domestic instability within the United States is proving the maintenance of this empire ever more challenging and unsubtle. On the other hand, external pressure of a shifting global order will be reflected in domestic instability and an expanded authoritarianism here at home. The competition over A.I. development is a race between the capitalists for the privilege of being the first to destroy our reality, and, unfortunately, the desperation and fragility of our culture leaves us particularly vulnerable. As the oligarchy shakes, the eagle’s grip clenches harder.
As we experience the repercussions of this multi-front civilizational decline, American Empasse will engage in one essential thesis: we have to be bold but strategic, hyper-vigilant on the shifting sands of domestic politics while never losing sight of the empire.
We want to articulate a political strategy for American Socialism. We want another New World Revolution.
